How does psychotherapy work?

Most of us want to deal with the difficulties that limit our lives, to find strength and peace, and to develop a more meaningful approach to life.  My clients may have a specific problem, or simply a desire to work on themselves. The deeper roots of long-standing problems and pain lie in the unconscious mind. Therapy can pull up these deeper roots into awareness, so that they can be understood and dissolved.  New energy and fresh perspectives replace old patterns, and growth is felt in career, relationships, family, and inner life. This clears the way for a deeper sense of inner purpose and meaning.

Annette Lowe is a qualified Jungian analyst who has been working in private practice for twenty years in the Middle Park area. She provides psychotherapy, counselling and analysis.

Annette enjoys working with clients from all walks of life. Normally clients work with Annette individually for one hour per week.

Annette has experience working with clients on many issues and goals including (but not limited to) anxiety, career choices, creativity issues, depression, dream analysis, family issues, grief, history of abusive relationships, life crisis, relationship issues, self-development, and spirituality.

Appointment hours are normally between 9am and 6pm, Monday to Friday.

A doctor’s referral is not required.
